Take a boat cruise

Sailing is a fantastic way to take in the sights of this Greek island. With many cruises available, you are sure to find one that suits your budget and preferences. Some of the less-travelled areas on the north-east coast can only be accessed by boat. Very often, these areas are far quieter and less developed than the busier tourist areas.

Indulge in traditional Corfiot cuisine

Greek cuisine is always mouth-watering! But in Corfu, a number of delicious dishes are worth trying. One of the best dishes is Sofrito (sliced veal loaded with aromatic vinegar, garlic and parsley). Others include Bourdeto and Bianco, (fish stews) and Pastitsada (meaty pasta). Another favourite for the locals is grilled or baked octopus known as Bourdetto. Most dishes make use of fresh ingredients sourced locally. These ingredients include olives, lemons, vegetables, tomatoes and fish. As well as lamb, cheese, herbs, pasta and wine. The wine such as Retsina and Ouzo, along with locally brewed lagers are also excellent.
