Paradise Holiday – The Maldives

We have described the wonders of our Maldives Explorer Tour, the world’s only one of its kind in the Blue Magic post on our blog. We outlined the different stages of the tour, the 9 days spent cruising and visiting islands, ending up in the 5-Star Royal Island Resort. We have mentioned a few of the pleasures of the Maldives, but what is it about this group of islands that makes visiting them such a holiday in paradise?

The Maldives is a spectacular island nation in the Indian Ocean consisting of twenty-six atolls. There are 1,192 islands, of which 200 are inhabited, by just over 328,000 people. It is one of the most dispersed nations on earth and absolutely stunning to experience. The islands are fringed with white-gold sandy beaches and the waters are a stunning crystalline light turquoise. The temperature of the balmy, tropical Maldives ranges between 24 °C (75 °F) and 33 °C (91 °F) throughout the year. Quite simply, it is a place like nowhere else on earth.

With our Maldives Explorer Tour all our guests get to experience the very best of all aspects of the Maldives. We touch down and travel by boat to the capital island, Male. The island has its own flavour, totally distinct from the rest of the islands, since it houses over 100,000 inhabitants in only 4 square km! We stay overnight in a lovely hotel with rooftop restaurant and terraces, then set of the next day on a heavenly sea safari.

The sea safari takes us around deserted sandbars and lush islands. We can snorkel and there is the optional of enjoying some of the world’s best diving, in an area that is teeming with beautiful exotic fish, so easy to spot in the clear waters. Enjoy barbecues and sunbathing, or simply unwinding on the yacht with its en suite cabins.

Next there is a local island stay in a guest house where we spent 2 nights really getting to know the Maldivians. Finally we spend three nights at the luxurious resort Royal Island, where guests can further unwind in exceptionally well-appointed surroundings.

The Maldives really are paradise and you can enjoy 10 days there from as little as £699. Book early to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited. Please do not hesitate to contact us on 0207 394 5232 for more information.
