Continuing on in our series, here more tips on things to remember before you head out on your tour of Europe. Read on and learn a thing or two about a thing or two!
What kind of accommodation do you use on your tours? On our tours we use a mixture of 2 and 3 star hotels, hostels, bungalows and chalets. Although clean linen is obviously standard, not all our accommodations supply towels, so you are advised to bring one along. We’ve searched to find excellent budget options located in cities or very near to good public transport connections.
Wanna know where you’re staying? Check your pre-departure information for more details and listen out on the first day of your tour when you’ll be given all the details.
How fit do I need to be to do one of your tours? We say you need a reasonable level of fitness. You’ll need to carry your own bags, get on and off the coach and use public transport. Also, our walking tours last a long time, sometimes up to three hours, and can involve walking up and down lots of steps. If you’re in any doubt, take a close look at the itinerary of your tour to decide if you’re fit and healthy enough for the tour.
How much time will be spent on the coach? This is an important one! Europe is a large continent; and many of the countries you’ll be travelling through are vast. So expect to have a few long driving days to get from place to place. Use the time to relax, watch the countryside roll past, meet your fellow passengers, watch movies or get involved with the games and quizzes hosted by your tour leader. We do also make a point of stopping at places of interest where possible.
