Today’s bit of photographic inspiration comes all the way from Vernazza, Italy – part of the famed Cinque Terre region. Read on to find out more about this scenic region of Italy, and why we love it so much!

As the name suggests, Cinque Terre is made up of five villages, each one linked by hiking trails and railways along the rugged Italian Riviera. All five villages and the hillsides surrounding them are part of the Cinque Terre National Park, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

One of the best things about the region is the fact that car traffic is forbidden. The only way to get around is by train or on foot, preserving a certain pace of life. Along with this, the hillsides are terraced, and used to grow grapes and olive oil, for which the region is famous.
