Europe is one of the most exciting places to visit, with a wealth of things to see and do. It’s not like you really need an excuse to take the trip of a lifetime, but just in case you do, here are 5 reasons to hit the road on a tour of Europe!
1. The scenery
The scenery in Europe is stunning, and you’ll get a taste of everything: from the dramatic peaks of the Swiss Alps to the rolling hills of Tuscany or the beaches of Barcelona. Whether you prefer to have your head in the clouds or you’re more of a beach bum, a tour of Europe will satisfy your appetite for epic scenery!
2. The history
If you’re a history buff, there’s really no better place to find yourself than in the historically rich cities of Europe. There’s obviously a huge amount of Roman history around, with buildings thousands of years old to marvel at. Then there’s more recent history, such as that of the French Revolution in Paris. There are also countless museums and galleries to visit in every city, featuring some of the world’s most famous artworks. There aren’t many regions of the world with such a broad and well-preserved sense of history and tradition. Having influenced most of the world in so many ways, Europe really is a fascinating place to visit if you’re at all interested in historical landmarks of every age!
3. The culture
Along with the rich history of each European nation, there are unique and interesting cultures to engage with at every turn, often exhibited through simple things like mannerisms or little traditions, and most often through the local food. Whether you’re finding out more about how clogs are made in the Netherlands, sampling French cuisine in one of the countless cafes, staying up late to party in Barcelona, taking a gondola in Venice or sampling ‘moules et frites’ (mussels and French fries) in Bruges, there are so many things to sample and get involved in at every turn.
4. Weather
From summer days with bright blue skies to the depths of a snowy winter (which definitely has its own appeal!) Europe is a great place to travel, whether in summer or winter. And let’s not forget spring or autumn, when the changing shades of the trees make everything just that little bit more special.
5. The people!
One of the best things about travelling is the people you’ll meet. Some people make friends for life on our tours! That’s not true for everyone of course, but the bond that you’ll share on a tour of Europe with us is unlike anything you’ll experience. You’ll be sharing exciting new places with people from all over the world, learning about new cultures and new places; and inevitably you’ll learn something about yourself as well.
